9/4/2015 8:00 PM EDT Radar Image for Severe Thunderstorms near St. Helena, NC at 9/4/2015 8:04 PM EDT At 800 pm edt, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. this storm was located over burgaw, moving south at 5 mph. this storm was beginning to slow down and weaken and was producing very heavy rainfall. locations impacted include, burgaw, malpass corner, murray town, white stocking, wards corner, rocky point, rooks, willard, ashton, penderlea, currie, long creek, st. helena, atkinson, watha and pender memorial hospital. this includes interstate 40 between mile markers 388 and 410.
