5/6/2015 7:58 PM CDT At 757 pm cdt, a confirmed tornado was 3 miles south of gladstone along highway 136, or about 26 miles northwest of washington, moving northeast at 30 mph (weather spotters confirmed tornado). Hazards include damaging tornado. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. tree damage is likely. this tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of western jefferson county, including the following locations, alexandria state recreation area and daykin. this includes highway 136 in nebraska between mile markers 141 and 147. 5/6/2015 7:22 PM CDT The severe thunderstorm warning for western saline and western jefferson counties will expire at 730 pm cdt, the storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the area. therefore the warning will be allowed to expire. however small hail and gusty winds are still possible with these thunderstorms. other storms are moving north from kansas and will move toward jefferson county. additional warnings may be needed a little later. a tornado watch remains in effect until 900 pm cdt for southeastern nebraska.
