7/21/2015 9:40 PM EDT Radar Image for Severe Thunderstorms near Washington Park, NC at 7/21/2015 9:43 PM EDT The severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern lenoir, western beaufort, northwestern craven and southeastern pitt counties will expire at 945 pm edt, the storm which prompted the warning has begun weakening below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. therefore the warning will be allowed to expire. however gusty winds and small hail are still possible with this thunderstorm. to report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. they will relay your report to the national weather service newport. remember, a severe thunderstorm warning still remains in effect for southern portions of lenoir county until 1015 pm!.
7/21/2015 9:22 PM EDT Radar Image for Severe Thunderstorms near Washington Park, NC at 7/21/2015 9:25 PM EDT At 921 pm edt, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. this storm was located near vanceboro, or 12 miles southeast of ayden, moving east at 45 mph. locations impacted include, greenville, new bern, washington, winterville, ayden, river road, grifton, vanceboro, pitt greenville airport, dowdy ficklen stadium, east carolina university, chocowinity, washington park, grimesland and simpson.
7/21/2015 9:07 PM EDT Radar Image for Severe Thunderstorms near Washington Park, NC at 7/21/2015 9:10 PM EDT At 907 pm edt, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. this storm was located over grifton, or 7 miles south of ayden, and moving east at 45 mph.
3/11/2015 11:56 AM EDT A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 630 pm edt for southern washington. western mainland hyde. southeastern martin and northern beaufort counties. at 555 pm edt. doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located 12 miles north of goose creek state.
